- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - 15. FINALS (a) All Finals matches to be played at venues to be decided by the committee. The Final match shall be played on the Wednesday/Thursday succeeding the semi-final matches. Failure of Club Representative to open courts by 9 a.m. will incur a fine of ten dollars ($10.00). (b) All conditions relating to Home and Away matches shall apply throughout the final matches, and if at the end of the match the sets and games are drawn, then a 12 point tie breaker shall be played at the end of the last set in progress. If the last two sets finish simultaneously, with a drawn match, the last set listed on the score card shall play the tie breaker, i.e. 2&3 v 2&3, to decide the match winners. (c) The Captain of the winning team is required to complete the online Mail Form. (d) In the event of an unplayed or unfinished final due to washout/heatout, play continues from the last completed point at the same venue unless notified by the Association Secretary. Captains of teams finishing highest on the ladder to retain balls and score cards until play resumes. Captains must also advise Record Secretary of any uncompleted finals by submitting the online Mail Form. All finals (Semi and Grand) must be completed on or before 4 weeks after the last Wednesday/Thursday home and away match. If Grand finals cannot be completed within this time frame and players cannot mutually agree on a day to complete an unfinished final pennants will be awarded to the teams who finished 1st and 2nd on the ladder at the end of the home & away season. (e) A substitute approved by the Executive Committee shall be allowed to take the place of any player who is prevented through illness, injury or any other good and sufficient reason from continuing any unfinished semi-final or grand final match, provided that such substitute shall be eligible and shall not take the place of any player in a set that has commenced. The opposing team shall be notified by the Association Secretary of any such substitute. (f) Players must wait at least until 11 a.m. if the weather is inclement.
