GUIDELINES FOR FINALSCompeting TeamsClubs with courts for finals to be opened by 9.00 a.m. Home team to provide four new VTA Approved balls, 4 practice balls and one score card.Teams playing are responsible for bagging and watering of courts and for leaving Club House clean and tidy.Home team to determine court surface.Teams may hit up from 9.00 a.m. to 9.15 a.m. with practice balls.Both teams prepare courts for match.Prior to 9.30 a.m. Captains to exchange list of teams and enter them on scorecard, regardless of weather conditions. This card to be adhered to until the completion of the match.3 minute hit up with the new balls before first set and between sets.1 minute permitted between end changes.10 minutes between each set allowed for players.Where 2 courts are allocated for finals matches, sets must be played concurrently.Winning team to submit the online Mail Form to the Record Secretary before 5.00 p.m. on the day of match. Printing of pennants to be organised by Clubs.ImportantPlayers must wait at least until 11 a.m. if weather is inclement.If players cannot mutually agree on a day to complete an unfinished final pennants will be awarded to the teams who finished 1st and 2nd on the ladder at the end of the home & away season.Note: When entering the result of an unplayed or unfinished final please select‘match result’ – not ‘washout/heatout’. This allows player names to be submitted.Refer to By-Law 15d and 15e - for unplayed or unfinished finals.
